Timer recording?

When attempting to Timer record a programme on my Sony DVD/Video recorder All I get on Screen is the option of Line 1/2/3 and Prog1 ----I do not get option for Progs 2/3/4/5 they will not show on screen---so I cannot insert Prog number which I wish to record--Please advise, if poss thank you

It might be that no tv channels have been stored on ch-2 & above.Try re-tuning all the available channels again.Go through them one by one after to make sure that the channels have been stored correctly.Once you have confirmed that this is ok ,try the timer function again.The only other thing to try is the main 'shipping condition' reset.Doing this will cancel all your user settings!But these can be changed back once all is working fine...Hope this helps....Gordon
