Mend Ferroli Modena 80E Boiler Heating Ignition

My Ferroili Modena 80E Boiler won't light! ?

It occasionally has a few good days, where it will light for a short while but then tends to go off (red light comes on) or the green pressure light starts to flash. But then sometimes (like now) no matter how many times I reset it it just flatly refuses to light. I can see the litle spark through the hole in the front but it just cuts out before it has a chance to light. When it does decide to light it seems to light with gusto! Any ideas or help would be gratefully received! I had this boiler installed approx 8 years ago.

No, not recently (what do you expect then I hear you cry!, I know, I know, my own fault probably!) a blocked burner, can you elaborate on what that involves, would a service sort this problem out or would this be classed as additonal work to the service? Thank you...

Have you had your boiler serviced at all? it could be a blocked burner
