How do i remove password from Matsui DTR2 digital receiver?

My son has put in his own pass word to my matsui digital receiver and forgot it i can not open it at all i have tryed unplugging it for a month but still locked out and i have tryed the shop i got it from they tell me to reset it and turn it off which i have can eny one help please or i will put it in the bin. Thanks
