I have a upvc front door with lever point locking system, i have managed to get the metal strip off and have found i can pull the lock mechanisim almost out but the barrel part i cant figure out how to get it out. can someone help, i cant see anything else to undo or unscrew
just done this last night, job takes about 30 seconds!
Put the key in barrel aftr removeing the locking screw from the edge of the door and twist the key backwards and forwards, there is a little off set lug which causes problems but just wiggle it

with the door open look at the lock assembly there is a screw next to the latch remove this first, using the keys gently rotate look whilst pulling towards you.
