How can I fix my leaking Morphy Richards 43057 kettle?

I have the same problem with a M-R Europa kettle. It isn't very pretty but Sugru works. It is a kind of putty adhesive that can be molded over the leak and it appears to be safe and not harmed by the temperature fluctuations. The downside is that it hides the water gauge. My first repair has lasted about 3 years but now the second side is leaking.
