Mend Hotpoint Working Frost

only fast freeze section working?

I have a 2 year old hotpoint fza84 upright frost free fridge freezer which has decided to be awkward!
Only the bottom 3 draws of this 9 draw freezer work and only when i have the appliance on fast freeze.The temperature waning light is not on but obviously the power light is.
The appliance has not been moved or altered in anyway since it was placed in our utility room 2 years ago.
does anybody have any ideas.

I've just had a similar problem. I fixed it by removing the large panel on the back of the inside of the freezer. I found a large build up of ice at the bottom of the freezer which seems to have developed because the drain hole at the bottom of the freezer was blocked. I defrosted the ice, cleared the drain and now the freezer is working fine.
