98 Citroen Berlingo Brake Light Problem?

I am having a problem with the brake lights on my van not working, done all the usual stuff checked connections, bulbs, fuses, even reset all the system by removing the shunt fuse. This worked the first time , but they have gone again and nothing seems to work to get them going, any ideas Please!!!!
