Frontera 2.0 sport elec fan?

My car overheats and I found that the electric fan does not come on so when parked up the car overheats. Can anyone tell me how to check the fan or the switch?

if you look on the radiator there the is a "switch" with two wires leading to it. just short circuit the two wires and the fan should come on, if not its probably a fuse.
