ford focus light switch?

my sons ford focus 2001 se zetec has no side lights or numberplate lights checked the fuses ok .thinking it could be the light switch as the dip and headlights worke ok/ and the fog light / of the switch any input mutch appreciated and if it is the switch how is it removed. many thanks art
