Mend White Knight CL432 Tumble Drum Noise

How can I fix my White Knight CL432 tumble dryer?

When I switch the tumble dryer on the drum doesn't rotate and a noise comes from the motor. When I give the drum a push to start rotation the motor drives the drum until it tries to reverse when the same noise starts and the drum does not rotate.

attached to the motor is a round silver tube with wires attached at one end.this is a capacitor and is used to start the motor.change it for a new one and it will solve your problem.held on with a 13mm nut
