My Hoover HF7130MUK Washing machine vibrates excessively on spin?

Recently, our 4 year old Hoover HF7130M machine has been vibrating excessively and making a hell of a noise on it's spin cycle, even on light loads. It has been used a lot over the years, so I have replaced both top mounting springs and both telescopic dampers and thought it would make things better, but it hasn't. I have done all the obvious things as per manual (adjusting the feet etc) but it sounds as though inner (metal) drum is seriously out of balance inside drum casing (plastic). My only other suspicion is the bearings are goosed, but the nut holding the drivebelt wheel is peened on the thread so I am reluctant to break the peen. I cannot seem to find a diagram of how this is put together. Does it mean a whole new drum assembly ? If it does, I may as well buy a new machine. Hope you can advise.

Thanks for the advice, but having got the machine on its back and had a good look, it actually turned out that the two bolts securing the lower concrete weight in the front of the machine had worked very loose over time ! The noise and vibration was down to the heavy lump rattling around on spin. No wonder it was noisy !

My machine acts the same way,but can rule out worn bearings as they are 100% ok and no play what so ever in drum

to check your bearing open the the door.grip the top of the drum then lift it with an up and down motion.the drum will move in any case while attatched to the shock absorbers..But what your looking for is a pretty slack movement, another way of finding out if your bearing is shot,is to remove the back panel and with the door open hold the top of the drum with one hand then hold the fly wheel at the back, whilst lifting the drum at the front,if theres any play on the fly wheel.then your bearing is shot, also a trickle of black oil coming from the flywheel side bearing is a tell tale sign...

The brushes may need replacing.
