Jet wash lances at less than 12 inches will kill sensors off like a 12 bore!

It is very expensive... There might be a fix on some bmw forums.

Normally if the faulty sensor is not changed then all of them tend to go.

Yes it was flakeing paint on a sensor ......I cleaned it up and it started working . Over the moon that I didnt need to replace as very costly .
Make sure that they are dry , I Forgot to mention I used a jet wash on it which got behind the paint .

Think I found the problem guys ......I found that on 1 of the sensors the paint had lifted so is picked off the loose and tried to listen again to witch 1 was off and found all were working again . Hope this is not a intermitting fault !!! Anyway still not sure how you remove them if the do fail again .....any ideas ?

once one of the sensors is dead... thats it... i'm currently looking for a cheap replacement cause the dealers want in the region of 100quid. you can tell witch sensors dead 'cause they 'click' when there working properly..put the car in reverse with the ignition on an listen closely....one of mine was not as loud as the others and after putting my hand infront of it, noticed no warning was sounding from inside the car. hope this helps
