why is my washing machine not draining the water? Hoover Nextra?

Filter blockage, hose blockage, drain pump problem,

(You will need to get rid of the EXCESS WATER FIRST) by lowering the drain hose into a bowl when flow has stopped
now find clean out the drain filter (old towels for spillage)
remove lower hoses check for part/blockage
remove clean out the drain pump chamber
test the pump operation
(a replacement pump maybe required)
