why does it lock up?

Hello David,
Go through the basics first, are you using the correct bobbin for the machine? are you making sure the bobbin case is secure ? is the machine jamming when you have the machine threaded and you start sewing ? Have you made sure you have threaded the machine properly with the presser foot up? you can get my email address on any answer from page 25 down if you can supply any further information, this site no longer email addresses to be displayed.
