the starter of my vw transporter wont start. it makes a skrachy noise when i turn on the ignition but the engine does not start. can anybody help please? how can i mend it?
Sounds like the bearings are dead on the starter motor, therefore it can't engage properly and makes a grinding noise. Can't be repaired, must change it.
