Renault Laguna Drivers Door link to Central Locking System?

2002 Model, If you have been driving the doors all lock auto, upon stopping and opening the drivers door all the other doors should unlock as well but don't. Also the warning red/white light built into the door doesn't work and the door open display on the dash doesn;t register and the headlights on warning buzzer doesn't work. Also have problem with diesel filler cover not opening with central locking but not sure if this is a different fault. Any ideas.

The switch which controls all of these functions is part of the locking mechanism. This is a very well known problem. The microswitch get dirty or stuck. Mine operates randomly. You will need to strip out the lock and clean or repair it.

Once i got the haynes manual I have managed to self diagnose this as the door switch on the door latch mechanism. Am still trying to get a cheap replacement.

Did you manage to find an answer to this one Martin? My Laguna has started doing the same thing. It is intermittent at the moment, but a pain in the posterior none the less

the fault with the door locks, buzzer and courtesy light is probably the door switch, there will possibly be a small switch on the iner frame of the car where the door sits when closed, all these things run off that circuit,
