Can't get any video tape inside the VCR (Sony)?

Bought a year ago new dvd and unpluged my old VCR (Sony slv E700). Realised later that I forgot to take out a tape from that VCR, so I pluged it in again. Only now no power got through, it was like dead. So I unscrewed it and manually got the tape out.

Now (about a year later) I tried to plug in the old vcr again. And suprise suprise it is working, but with one foult (major!). It thinks that the tape I got out earlier manually still is in there and when I try to pull in a new tape it doesn't take it in.

Also it gives me an erroro code (or it seems like one) when I try to prees a button (play stop rewind eject etc.) It displays following code: L[h] 07[min]12[s] And it displays that a tape is inside but it's not!

It would mean so much to me if someone could explain what to do and if I could fix it in someway myself or should I go to some service point so they can fix it?
