zanussi wdj1285, cant close outlet valve?

my zanussi washing machine works perfectly, only from start to finish of wash cycle the water is drained off and the machine never fill up, if i add water manually its not long before that too drain off, apart from this all is well.

Sounds like machine is syphoning - ie the drain pipe is too low. Make sure drain pipe is above level of the washer.
