Mend MTD 917.274033 Engine Started Exhaust

Bob Villa Signature 917.274033?

My engine started smoking from the exhaust when it is put under a little bit of a load. The smoke is light colored, almost white. It is 5 years old, but has only 79 total hours. Also I can see oil on the tube on the left hand side (facing mower)which is going into the exhaust. Any thoughts on what will need to be done? Thanks
