Can you unlock a codelocked radio yourself?

I recently bought a used astra with a car 300 radio in it, but the previous owner entered the code over the limit, now it says SAFE on the screen and i cant do anything as its codelocked, is there a way of fixing it without going to a garage?

Code Entry as Follows:
Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps

NOTE:
- If the display shows "0 SAFE" instead of "10 - - - -", the unit must be decoded by a specialist.

- If the display shows "n SAFE" (where n is an 1...9 number that states for the remaining attempts number), the unit must be left turned on in this condition until it indicates "n - - - -". It may take up to 240 minutes (if the display shows "9 SAFE").
