Hotpoint 9536 Washing Machine?

After approximately 1/3 of the washing cycle on My Hotpoint 9536 has been completed the drum does not rotate nor spin anymore. For the first part of the cycle it rotates fine and seems to do everything like it always has but after the first time it empties the water and refills it does not rotate. The control dial does continue to go through its full cycle fine until it is completed and the machine turns off but it does not spin or rotate as it should.

Please help it is driving my wife nuts.
