My hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXF 149PM door won't open?

No power to washing machine not a fuse we checked that door is still locked

hi there is possibly water stuck in the machine. this will keep the door locked and cause the lights to flash. the pump has a filter on it and is situated behind the kickstrip that you can pull of and unscrew but beware obviously there maybe water stuck in the machine and this will come out, alternatively behind the kickstrip you will find a yellow or green strip of plastic. what you can do is grab hold of this between your fingers and pull downwards twice with a sharp tug- this is the emergency door release. you can then get your washing out and then you will see if there is any water stuck and if so then mop it out with a towel and then check the pump for something stuck in it. these machines are virtually bullet proof and very rarely would there be anything wrong electrically.
