how to fix the 20 hp briggs & stratton engine in my craftsman lawn tractor?
the engine has lost compresion in the left side because of a valve seal coming loose we ordered a new one from sears put it is to loose. my question is there over size seals available & what dues it take to install. Engine model # 461707 Type# 0145-e3
Do you mean the valve seat, rather than the seal? If so, these seats are pushed into place, and then the aluminium around them is peened over very carefully using a centre punch. This locks the seat in place. However, a new seat should not be slack at all, if its the correct one.
