How can I remove Mira 723 shower mixer ?

How can I remove a surface mounted Mira 723 shower mixer from the back plate mounting assembly(807.17)? There are 2 holes in the trim (937.13), one on either side. I assume this is to facilitate the removal, but what tool do I need and what is the removal process please?
