Zanussi Nexus FL - 884?

My machine, when programmed, stays on one programme only- repeating itself with a clicking noise. I can manually move it to, say, F [spin] and it works OK. If I try to put it on any other programme, say, M or N, it is just the same programme repeating itself. I put in a new circuit board 5-7 years ago and it has worked perfectly since. Do I need to replace the circuit board again?
