I noticed my washing machine leaking and found the source to be coming from the drain pump. I am not sure if it is the pump or a seal around the outside but I have not noticed any leaks from any of the nearby pipes.
Can anyone suggest an answer and/or how to dismantle and re-assemble the drain pump please?
I have stripped the pump down to find 2 'O' rings and replaced them both, 1 on the removable cylinder and the other inside the unit. They were both about 2" in diameter. I connected it all together again only to find it still leaking. There is a rubber seal between the motor and the main water outlet cylinder but it seems fine. Any other suggestions?

there is an 'o' ring that seals the motor shaft and they fail.normally we would replace the whole pump but if you wanted to get an 'o' ring it is possible to replace them but a right old rave sometimes to do.'o' ring 20p,pump complete £60
