How can I fix my HP Media Center PC m7360n?

I have a HP Media Center PC m7360n that has crashed. When trying to turn on my monitor immediately goes into sleep mode or shows no video output. I am unable to start in safe mode or last functional start up. I do not have recovery disks. Will I be able to recover pictures/documents? Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Clarification of details please, when you start the pc, do you get a black boot screen followed by the screen light going back to orange, or does it never come out orange at all?
