Why does my Hotpoint WM63P washing machine stop working when its about to r?
I have a Hotpoint washing machine WM63P which works ok until it gets to the rinse cycle and then stops. I have checked all connections for continuety fitted a new programmer, checked out the pump and the tube which operates the diaphram switch is not blocked, and the heater is working. When I manually click the timer one click it finishes the cycle. Any suggestions please, apart from dumping it.
Since writing this message I have solved the problem which turned out to be the dual cold water inlet valve, it was working ok on the wash mode but failed on the rinse mode. I replaced it and it solved the problem. Hope this will help anyone.
