How can I fix my TomTom 910?

I connected a slightly more ac powerful power supply to my TomTom unit, to charge it. After about half an hour there was a smell of burning. Now the TomTom 910 does not start up. How can I fix it?

Hi you have burned the main board on the system you can get it fixed but it will cost you £120 pounds. from my point of view it is not worth getting it fixed.but i have got the same tom tom 910 and I need a part so if you are going to throw it away could you send it to me instead I am in Derby. please reply to this message to let know what you are going to do!!!!
