Wii won't read disc?

Our Wii won't read a disc, we've tried all of them with no luck. We're guessing our console needs repairing, but not sure what it could be and if we can take it somewhere. Every time we put a disc in it sends an error message. We don't really want to spend $75, or more. Any suggestions? Thanks
