theres 2 sensors built into the evapourator if they are faulty they will cause excessive ice build up.also the defrost heater might of blown.again this is in the evapourator and you have to remove it to gain access.big diy job to be honest but takes 40mins when you know how.costs about £90 to get someone in to do it but not many people will do it and will tell you its a faulty system/compressor.be warned!
