blinking power light on Sharp SX-68G TV set?

I have a sharp sx-68g7 and the syptoms is that the power light is just blinking when the power is turned on. Its seems like its blinking in intervals, then it keeps on repeating, so cannot use the tv as it wont turn on. Can somebody help me whith this problem. Thanks
