Ford Mondeo radio/cd 6006e?

I disconnected a redundant phone cradle by snipping the cable and the radio display showed "PHONE" and I cannot get the radio to work. I then reconnected all the cables but still get the "PHONE" display. Please - how do I get the radio back??
