How can I fix my Kenmore series 90 washer Model 110.28912791?

I'm not sure if the humming is comming from the motor or the fill valve. If you put the washer in the spin mode does it drain and spin? If you hear the same humming when you put it in the spin mode you probably have a broken motor coupling which sounds worse than it is. It is about a $15 dollar part that goes between the motor and the gearcase and is a common repair on these washers.
