how to replace the timer on a hoover pe235 washing machine?

Did you solve your problem? seems Ive got the same, (Dial spinning round)
Wirecutterman do you know what fault causes this?

remove the top by removing a couple of self tapping screws located at the top rear of machine ,then slide the top rearward and lift off.
NOTE
programmers are very reliable things , you may have a fault on machine this would be indicated by the(dial spinning round) when it gets to the problem and the program CANNOT continue ,ie fill with water, heat up to temp, wash, drain out, rinse, drain, spin.
