need advice?

hi i have a renault megane cabriolet 02 plate and i have recently had an accident caused by my brakes seizing, the insurance company would not fix the brakes but have told me what the problem is so i can get it fixed myself. which is totally fine apart from no one can help me.
i was told it is the cv strictor that is broken but noone seems to know what that it???? can anyone shed any light on this please?? what is the cv strictor?? and how can i fix it??? thank you
