radio code lockout?

Hi I was removing my clarian pu9836a to fit radio mute lead for my phone and I pressed 555 by mistake, since then, it comes up with -- -- -- -- I have left it on for two hours with ign on, but it will not clear for me to enter my rage rover code. i have put code in before and it works ok, the line are broken not continues
could you please help
