you should slacken the 6 bolts on camshaft pulleys so they can move on their hubs with belt off. then when refitting belt pulleys should turn clockwise slightly so when belt is on tensioner the pulleys turn anti clockwise slightly. the aim is to get all bolts in middle of elongated holes so timing is not one tooth out which could be whats happened.

chassis no is VF38BLFYE80628762 if it will help.u r right,that marks r where u said they should be,but when we used them and put cambelt with that marks lined-up,car didn't start...so we r not sure if it's correct and looking for some trick how to find out correct position some other way..thanks

can give better answer if you give chassis no for correct engine, but i think crankshaft pulley has a hole in and lines up with peg about 12 o clock. the camshafts should line up about 7 o clock and 5 o clock with pegs into holes in engine.
