air bag light?

i have just purchased a peugeot expert hdi van.when i turn the ignition on i can hear the air bag energize but the air bag light will not go off. it also looks as though the speedo clock has been replaced and was wondering if this could have anything to do with it or any advise that yiu can assist with

check under both seats for plugs. if there then check for good conection. the ecu may think someone is sitting in seat and not put on seat belt. all to do with the safty sytem.

Not sure about hearing air bag energizing but when ever the light stays on its seeing a problem in air bag system ...while light is on the airbags aren`t working till problem is found.
Need to use a scanner and see what code the sytem has set so you can diag the problem.
