had laser error so have replaced the whole laser carraige as well as the Power switch but still cannot read. Do not even get the disk spinning. can anyone advise please what to do next?

the motor might be damaged or the disc brake might be lose. if so all you have to do is glue the disc brake back into it's original position using super glue. if the motors completely damaged then you must replace it. another problem could be your cog gear. it might be stuck.
