Zafira dti spanner light comming on shortly?

Vauxhall Zafira 2.0Dti Electronics Warning light.?
I have a vauxhall Zafira 2.0Dti and it has the following symptoms :-

1) From hot or cold when I turn the ignition on the Engine Electronics warning light comes on (small spanner symbol) and remains on.

2) From cold the Engine Electronics warning light comes on (small spanner symbol) and stays on until the engine has been running for about 2-3mins. After this it goes out and stays out.

3) When the ignition is switched on after the engine has heated, the warning light comes on and stays on.

4) If the engine is warmed up and started, the light goes out immmediately.

Any thoughts ?

Vauxhall Zafira Vehicles, Cars Zafira Vauxhall Warning

When this kept happening on my Zafira it was the Glow plugs that needed changing and that was done at vauxhall under warranty thankfully.

if comes on and goes out after 2 or 3 mins you have a faulty glow plug or plugs

"INSP" in the mileage readout is the service warning indicator.
Car/spanner is engine management. Get the codes read then put them in a new thread.
A lot of code reader/diagnostic machines cant read vauxhall diesel systems properly, might be worth paying the extra and going to vauxhall.

car needs an oil and filter change then the spanner light NEEDS RESETTING . the spanner is a SERVICE LIGHT hint
