when i turn on the hot water taps some of the radiators start to get hot ,although the heating is off,and every 30 min or so the boiler flares up and no taps are on or anything?
your diverter valve is sticking allowing the water to pass into your radiators. as for it firing up by itself, these boilers have a hot water pre-heat function, so that'll explain that. get a qualified engineer out to replace the diverter valve cartridge.
