Hotpoint Aquarius ctd00, not blowing hot air?

does the empty water indicator stay on when the water tray is emptied?
If so, the sensor that tells the machine that the water is full stops the heater element, but does not stop the machine from running. I traced me problem to a faulty water pump (in the grey box at the bottom back of the unit) - check if thats spinning when the dryer is running.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE EXPOSED WIRES, AND PROBABLY WATER CLOSE BY.
