The easiest solution would be to get the correct dash, but if that is not possible.
Proceed with extreme caution and have a fused link on the positive terminal of the battery.
We would ususally connect colour to colour. What I mean is if pin 4 was connected to a grey wire on the machine you took the dash module from, we would connect pin 4 to the grey wire on your machine. Locate the earth wires and connect them first then proceed one wire at a time. Double checking as you go to see what started working etc.
