Mend Hotpoint WMA50 Washing Machine Making

Is it worth trying to fix my hotpoint WMA50 washing machine?

I've had this machine for 5 1/2 years. Yesterday when it got to the spin it was making a funny noise. Today when it got to the spin it just stopped. The indicator lights on front flashed across in sequence. Tried to set it to manual spin but nothing. Then tried to restart whole cycle but made initial start up noise, water in dispenser, then stopped completely. Can this be fixed or do I need to cut my loses and buy a new maching?

hi shona,chance's are with a 5 year old machine it may only need the motor brushe's to be replaced,these cost about £10-20 & you can watch how to change them on you tube,best of luck
