I inherited this machine recently in almost mint condition except that it constantly gets out of balance throughout the cycle. Hubby has taken top off & found that there are only 4 rods holding the bowl which accounts for the massive movement of the bowl. There looks like there should be something else securing the bowl but we cannot work out what. Any ideas?
No that's it. The bowl is suspended on 4 rods with springs at the bottom of the rod. That is normal. Make sure machine is level & standing on a firm floor. Sort clothing so you do not have one heavy item with a lot of light items as the heavy item will cause the bowl to be off balance. You may find that the suspension rod springs have weakend and may need replacing.
