My Floor tiles are leaking!!!?

My toilet is leaking from somewhere and the water that is leaking is seeping through all of the floor tiles. So I have lifted all the floor tiles and shoveled up all of the not so adhesive adhesive. Where to now? Not a plumber so dont know what to do. Help!

Hope you're checking your question also coat the wingnuts and bolts in vaselene stops them going rusty. To find out if it's the cistern leaking stop the water in to cistern turn off the feed to the inlet valve WHEN cistern full. Don't flush the toilet keep eye on water level in the cistern if it drops and water is on floor peccavi is right it's the doughnut seal.

The toilet may be leaking and the water collecting on the floor - the tiles may be wet but they're not leaking...

If you have a close coupled cistern where the water box sits immediately on top of the WC pan the leak may be coming from the low pressure seal between the two - a large, round, soft rubber washer called a donut (because it looks like a ring doughnut) makes the seal. It is squashed to make the seal by a flat metal plate which is drawn down onto the washer by a pair of bolts each with a wing nut - try tightening the wing nuts it often fixes a leaking donut washer.

The bolts are at the back - pointing downwards - one each side.

Good luck...
