Mend Dell Inspiron 1525

Dell Inspiron 1525?

Recently I removed my power cable from my Dell Inspiron 1525 and the computer turned off - battery dead.

When I now log in the I get through to the desk top page but it doesn't seem to load problem and I constantly have the egg timer up.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
