close-coupled toilet leaking ?

my new close-coupled toilet has been installed in the end of Aug, we found water on the floor after 5 days. water tank is leaking for sure, coz we turn off the water pipe and water in the tank disappeared in a few hours.

Hi Mel
Again, it depends where the leak is...fill valves have a tapered rubber washer and silicone is not required. Dry off the bottom of the cistern with kitchen paper and really identify where the leak is from. If it only leaks when its flushed, for example, thats another area. Sometimes the fill / overflow valves are overtightened by the plumber and they crack ever so slightly.

Hi John,
thank you very much for your advice, and do you think the problem can be solved out by silicon?

You need to be rather more specific...if you turn the water off and water still leaks onto the floor, its the seal between the fill valve and cistern at fault, or similar with the overflow on the other side if there is one....however, if the water flows into the loo bowl its the seal between the flush valve and cistern thats at fault.
