I have a problem with a Hotpoint WMA30 washing machine. Problem is as follows:
1) Put it on a normal wash cycle it stops at the end of the wash before the rinse and spin.
2) Manually put it on to the Rinse and Spin cycle it will rinse fine but stop before the Spin.
3) I can then manually put it onto a Spin cycle and it will complete fine.
So it looks as though it can do all the individual parts of a cycle but can't move from one part to the next! Any ideas what could be causing this??
do any lights flash? I am told that they indicate the fault, eg, if the prewash light flashes on my later model there is a water valve fault.

i am having the same trouble only mine stops on the rinse cycle and the prewash light flashes.
i tried a new front board but this problem still remains.

the water pump could be blocked. clean out the filter and drian the drum
